July 2026 release: your language everywhere, passwordless sign-in, and an app that gets out of your way

The whole app now speaks your language

Baubiber serves residents, contractors, and property managers across Germany, Austria, and Hungary — so the product has to be equally at home in each language, not just at the edges. This release completes a sweep across the mobile app and the Pro dashboard: every screen, label, and prompt is now available in German, English, and Hungarian, matching the Nest dashboard and the website.

Switch language in settings on mobile or with the language switcher on the web, and the whole experience follows — offers, the site logbook, budgets, finances, and messages included. From here on, every new feature ships with all three languages on day one, so nobody hits a half-translated screen.

No passwords, ever

Passwords are the most common reason people get stuck at the front door — forgotten, mistyped, or sitting in some breach. So we removed them. Signing in to Baubiber is now passwordless everywhere.

On the Pro and Nest dashboards, enter your email and we send you a one-time sign-in link; click it and you are in. In the mobile app, enter your email and type the six-digit code we send you. Google and Apple sign-in work exactly as before. There is nothing to create, remember, or reset — and one less thing that can ever leak.

A simpler home for everything

The mobile app’s bottom bar got a clean-up. Instead of a growing pile of tabs, you now get at most four, each named for what it holds: residents see Home, Projects, and Messages; contractors see Leads, Jobs, and Messages. Your properties are no longer buried inside Settings — they live on the Home tab, one tap away.

Settings itself moved to your profile picture in the top-right corner, out of the main bar, and its rows now read as plain nouns — Identity, My Roles, Referrals, AI Providers. Less hunting, fewer taps to the thing you actually wanted.

Change your mind after you publish

Publishing a project used to freeze it. Now you can keep refining it. Tap the property to edit its type and address; add or remove before-photos inline; and add, edit, or delete any issue the AI detected — all in focused sheets, without being sent back through the setup questionnaire. Every save shows a quick ✓ Saved so you know it stuck.

The editing window follows the project: everything stays open until an offer is awarded, the title and summary stay editable while the work runs, and the project locks once it is done. And when you rewrite a title or summary in one language, we translate it into the other two for you — so a German or Hungarian viewer never sees your English text by mistake.

A work clock that fits a real day on site

Time on a job is rarely one clean block — you start, you break, you get pulled to another site, you come back. The work clock now handles that. Tap the timer in the app header, pick the project you are working on, and it starts counting.

Stopping for lunch or a supply run? Pause freezes the clock,Resume picks it back up, and the elapsed time only ever counts the minutes you were actually working. When you Stop, the log sheet already has the right hourly rate filled in — set a default labor rate once per project, on its Details tab, and you never have to type it again.

Team invites that actually work

Bringing a colleague onto a project used to hit dead ends the moment they clicked the invite email without being signed in. That is fixed. The invite now opens a public page that shows which shop or organization you have been invited to — and the role you will get — before you commit to anything.

Sign in or create an account, and for a contractor shop the invite accepts itself and drops you straight into the Pro dashboard — no landing on a generic home screen, no extra click, and no business-type setup step you never needed. One link, one sign-in, and you are on the team.

For contractors: turn a self-managed visit into a priced statement

When a Baubiber runs a job start to finish on their own — no marketplace bidding, no separate offer round — pricing it used to mean rebuilding the numbers by hand. The newStatement tab does it from what you already logged.

Open a self-managed project and Baubiber can seed an itemized statement straight from the billable logbook entries that have not been invoiced yet, adjust the lines, and — in one step — spin up a milestone per line with its budget items grouped underneath. The site visit becomes a priced, structured basis for the work without ever leaving the dashboard.

Your awarded job stays yours

Winning a project is a commitment on both sides, so it should be hard to undo by accident. Previously a contractor could withdraw an offer even after it had been accepted — which quietly orphaned the awarded, in-execution project and left it without a lead.

Now an offer can only be withdrawn while it is still pending or shortlisted. Once it is accepted or awaiting a property manager’s approval, it is locked. The awarded job stays with the contractor who won it, and the running project keeps its lead.

Sharper property finances and site capture

The property finance dashboard and the guided 3D capture flow both got a round of refinement in this release — cleaner status handling on captured models and smoother finance views — so the numbers and the site record you rely on stay accurate and easy to read. Owner project cards also now show a capped “Compare offers” count so you can see at a glance how many quotes are waiting, and AI-drafted issue titles are written in your own first-person voice (“we have a hole in the wall”) instead of an inspector’s.

Reviews everyone can read

The star rating in the review dialog now carries proper accessible labels, so people using a screen reader can rate a contractor or a job as easily as everyone else. Small change, real difference.

Tested end to end, every time

Behind the scenes, this release adds automated end-to-end coverage for every persona and critical flow — owner offers and tracking, contractor constructions and chat, property- manager approvals, invites, and more — driven through the real web UI across all surfaces. The practical upshot for you: the invite and offer-withdrawal fixes above were surfaced and closed by that very test pass, and every future change now has to clear the same gauntlet before it ships. More of what you rely on is verified, on every release.

No. Once an offer is accepted or awaiting manager approval it is locked, and withdrawal is only possible while it is still pending or shortlisted. This closes a gap where a contractor could withdraw an already-awarded offer and leave the running project without a lead.
