Production update: better matching, smoother workflows, and clearer billing
A few days after the July release, this new production update improves marketplace discovery, project execution, billing, public links, account access, and internal operations across Baubiber.
What changed
- Location-aware matching is sharper. Contractor matches and public marketplace pages now respect service radius and nearby-location filters more consistently, so residents see more relevant professionals and contractors see better fit projects.
- Project execution is clearer. Milestones, budget line items, change requests, work logs, and invoices are more tightly connected, making planned, delivered, billed, and remaining work easier to follow.
- Invoices are easier to share and route. Invoice sharing now handles PDF and app-link paths more reliably, and recipient email resolution is more robust.
- Account and link handoffs are more stable. Dashboard duplicate signups are blocked more cleanly, deep links are normalized, and shared links behave more predictably across email, browser, and app entry points.
- Internal operations have better visibility. The admin dashboard now includes richer analytics for funnels, activation, finance, projects, users, and feedback.
Better local discovery
Renovation marketplaces only work when location is handled well. This update improves how Baubiber uses service areas and nearby-location filters across matching and public marketplace pages. Contractors can be matched against projects within their operating radius, and residents browsing public project and professional pages get a cleaner local discovery experience.
The practical result is simple: fewer irrelevant leads, more nearby opportunities, and a public marketplace that better reflects who can actually help in a given area.
Execution, milestones, and billing line up more cleanly
The July release introduced a much stronger execution layer. This production update tightens the details around that layer: milestones can carry clearer approval state, accepted work can flow into itemized budget structure, and billed-versus-remaining amounts are easier to reason about.
For contractors, that means a better path from offer to milestone plan, from site work to invoice, and from partial billing to final close-off. For residents and property managers, it means fewer gaps between what was agreed, what was logged, what was invoiced, and what still needs approval.
Invoice sharing and recipient handling are more reliable
Billing has several real-world paths: a client may open a link in the app, receive a PDF, or work through a property-manager review flow. This update improves invoice sharing across PDF and app-link routes and makes recipient email resolution more dependable when an invoice is sent.
The goal is to reduce the small handoff failures that slow down payment review: the right recipient, the right link, and a clearer path back into Baubiber.
Safer account access and public links
We tightened several account and navigation edges. Duplicate dashboard signups are blocked more cleanly, deep links are normalized before routing, and public/shared surfaces have been polished so links from email, browser, and app entry points are less fragile.
We also fixed a production-origin issue for the admin dashboard, improving access for the internal team without loosening the admin account restrictions.
More visibility for the Baubiber team
The internal admin dashboard now has a richer analytics section for monitoring product health: activation, funnel movement, finance summaries, project activity, user context, and feedback review. This does not change the resident or contractor workflow directly, but it helps the team spot friction and prioritize fixes faster.
Quality and reliability
This update also expands automated coverage around the core marketplace and execution loops: owner offers and tracking, contractor projects and messages, property-manager approvals, invite acceptance, admin access, and several business-rule invariants. One important reliability fix from that work: accepted or approval-pending offers can no longer be withdrawn in a way that leaves an active project without its awarded lead.
Localization coverage was also corrected across newly changed app, dashboard, email, and public flows in Baubiber's existing supported languages.
