Do I need the app, or does it also work in the browser?

How are contractors verified on Baubiber?
Every contractor is verified before they can submit quotes: Baubiber checks the business against the official register and verifies the identity of an authorized representative. You can see whether a contractor is verified on their profile.
Who is liable if something goes wrong?
Baubiber connects you with the contractor. You place the order directly with the contractor, who is responsible for their work and for any warranty claims. To help you find the right one, we verify every contractor in advance (identity, trade registration, documents). Quote, photos and invoice are documented in Baubiber.
Can I hire a contractor myself as a tenant?
That depends on what it is. For damage and defects, your landlord or property manager is usually responsible. Simply report the damage through Baubiber and invite your landlord or property manager to the project by email. That way everyone is on the same page and you can follow progress. If you want to do something yourself, for example renovate your apartment, you can request quotes and commission the work at your own expense. For structural changes you need your landlord's consent first. You can invite them to the project by email for that too.
How does a project work on Baubiber?

Does someone have to visit before I get a quote?
For small repairs, a description and photos are enough. For larger projects such as a bathroom, roof or façade, contractors arrange a visit. After that you receive a reliable quote.
Do all contractors see my project?
No. Baubiber matches your project with suitable, verified contractors in your area. Only they see your request. A contractor sees your name and contact details only once you accept their quote.
I have a property manager. Can they take part too?
Soon. Property managers are currently only available via the waitlist. Add your property manager to the waitlist or pass the link on. You can already use Baubiber yourself as a tenant or owner.
